Bait and switch - beware

So apparently, OnStar changed their prices of their plans. I have been on the essentials plan since Ive had my 2016 SRX so over three years.

My initial call to OnStar was to confirm that my credit card information was current since I recently changed the card on file during the conversation the sales person up sold me on the Wi-Fi package, taking it to an OnStar one plus plan or something like that I was on the essentials plan which cost $25 per month adding the Wi-Fi wouldve taken it to $30 a month. I was told that I would be able to switch back to my original plan if I did not like the Wi-Fi plan I called today to go back to the essential plan and was told that it no longer existed as well as the plan under the OnStar one plus plan did not include the Cadillac app which I use frequently the plan that would include. The Cadillac app was much more expensive without the Wi-Fi. I did not need the Wi-Fi and only needed to have access to the plan that I had before that no longer existed so now I have to have the one star plus plan in order to have the Cadillac app, which means that I need to pay more money had I had known this I would not have never switched from the essentials plan because I dont need the Wi-Fi.

This is a complete example of obeying switch for the consumer without any regard for transparency or your customers well-being.

I am very disappointed in Cadillac as a consumer. Consumer should be told upfront if their plans are changing before being up sold on a new item that may or may not work for them transparency at OnStar is nonexistent beware of the bathing switch that is currently in effect at OnStar.

So I pushed

the OnStar button in my car to inquire about a three month subscription note I had OnStar back in 2018 I believe so upon me signing up for the free trial they had my debit card information already saved however, Ive never put my real debit card information on file so upon me questioning a few representatives, I was told that the dealership gave them this information which was in flat out lie! When I purchased my car a few years back, it was financed through Carmax auto finance.

I never gave them my card information.

All of the information that OnStar gave me was a flat out line! I will never use this service ever again due to every representative lying to me and giving me false information!!

I give the customer rep my account number I'm looking at it and I give it to her and she said something and then she said something like I didn't understand the number or something but then at the same time she called me by my last name and I knew right then in there it was going to be a problem so I thanked her and I hung up and I went and I went to my general motors app and I talked to customer service through the chat the young lady were very helpful but Colin GM customer rep is a waste of time I will advise all people not to call just go to and chat and they will help you faster cuz now when people answer the phone you don't you know she wasn't nasty but once she realized I was I told her thank you and bye she was trying to keep me on the phone and explain situation to me but I didn't want to hear so I just thanked her politely and hung up I will never call them again simply because you have to go through the AI and she's a b**** and then you get someone on the phone that you can't understand it just a b**** don't use your phone to call use your phone to chat you'll get better service

Web links are ineffective

The email in question was not intended to provide a link. That was my mistake to think that it did.

But it should have.

The OnStar agents I spoke with understood that and were helpful anyway.

They also understood that using PissedConsumer was the only viable means I had to reach OnStar customer service.

They instructed me to contact OnStar from the car and everything worked out fine. Their guidance led me to cancel an expensive but needless trip to the dealer.

Rear dvd and i'm doing this already 44 months, and nobody it's interesting to help me

I called because my rear DVD is not working wirelessly. I keep on getting answers.

Someone is going to call you back in 3 to 5 business days.

But they keep on calling me; the problem is not solved. Do it again and again and again and again.

Locked out of car

Somehow got locked out of the car. OnStar answered immediately and had the car open in seconds!!! We were so thrilled and amazed at how fast the process was!

Horrible customer service

Representatives push and push and push to get your credit card on file. When you do not, than they do not do their job by linking the vehicle to your Chevy app which causes a huge inconvenience!

Just because they are not making their commission, they are punishing the customer.

OnStar left us stranded

Our GMC Denali Ultimate HD broke down and left us stranded on the St. Petersburg, FL - Skyway Bridge, and we used our OnStar service to request service.

We waited for five hours on this dangerous bridge and they never came. Thankfully, we decided to explore other options after about 90 minutes and were able to find alternate arrangements by paying out of pocket. OnStar called us once we had the truck towed to check in.

We had a terrible experience with their despicable customer service. Very disappointing service.

Bad customer service

I have bank statements going back to January of this year where onstar drafted my payment out. I went to access it this month and was told I hadnt made a payment.

I have proof that 4 days ago it was drafted out. customer service told me that they would continue to draft our payments but my account was cancelled.

Took my credit card info and would not remove it from a corporate account even though they told me that i would be able to remove it at any time before the trial period. This is a scam and they should be out of business as they are liars and cheats. Dont use them, don't give them any info

I have had so many issues with on star in the last 8 months. The directions are awful. I have called and made several complaints. They took me out of the way several times. Today I spoke to 4 represen

Extremely dissatisfied. My turn by turn kept recording erro.

Still after four representatives and two technical supports. I had to switch to my phone. This has been ongoing for 8 months. I was late getting to the airport as the on star navigation did not get me there.

It took me off course after talking to a representative. So over itont get on star buy navigation or yse your phond
